Third Board Meeting of United Federation of Travel Agent Association (UFTAA) was held in Salerno City, Italy on 25th July 2017. President of NATTA Mr. Madhusudan Acharya attended the meeting as a Board Director. The Board discussed about decision on amendments of its statutes, opening of tourism office in Turkey, Italy and other issues regarding UFTAA. The meeting was followed by Mid Year Session – EGA on 26th July 2017 where President Mr. Acharya and Secretary General Mr. Bhim Prasad Panta participated representing NATTA.
The forum was on two sessions: On the first session, adoption of statute amendments and presentation from TURSAB on UFTAA tourism office in Istanbul were made. Second session focused on sharing of best practices of each association members on IATA issues. Secretary General Mr. Bhim P. Panta shed light on years of NATTA and the IATA issues and concerns of NATTA members over the years. Many representing countries openly presented their issues with local APJC and IATA. The IATA Director, FDS-Operation Mr. Juan A. Rodriguez clarified most of the concerns and highlighted the upcoming changes- New-Gen ISS.
Likewise in the forum, various Administrative Matters, Tourism Projects of UFTAA along with interactive discussions amongst the delegates took place. During the program, UFTAA disclosed that it would launch its global tourism office in Istanbul, Turkey to be located at TURSAB headquarters.
The grand event was hosted by the support of Mayor and Counselor of Salerno City who also discussed and supported for bilateral tourism on his deliberation.
