Mr. Nick Maddock, Advisor on Livelihoods & Employment and Ms. Gium Kim, Employment & Inclusive Growth Analyst, Poverty & Inclusion Unit, from UNDP Nepal visited NATTA Secretariat today afternoon, 10th February ’17 and held discussions with NATTA President Mr. Madhusudan Acharya on various projects in the pipeline of UNDP with the focal aim of developing local economy of certain destinations in all the five zones of Nepal. This time UNDP is planning to develop the gateways to certain destinations to promote religious/pilgrimage tourism. It was said that the Program would also include skill development of the locals to attract the tourists/travelers. President Mr. Madhusudan Acharya, Secy. Gen. Mr. Bhim Prasad Panta, Executive Member Mr. Ghanasyam Ghimire and Mr. Varun Mehta and CEO Prof. Hari Sarmah answered the queries raised by the UNDP officials. And UNDP officials were also assured that NATTA would be more than happy to assist UNDP in executing UNDP’s local development programs.
