A meeting was held on 3rd November 2015 at NATTA Secretariat to discuss regarding the notice received by IATA on the change in BSP Nepal Remittance frequency from “twice monthly’ to “four times monthly” effective from 01 January 2016.
At the present scenario with such a severe crisis in the country, the meeting decided to first meet with the Commercial Director of Nepal Airlines and to request to assist in postponing the date of change.
In this regard, NATTA delegation met with Mr. Saroj Kasaju, Commercial Director of Nepal Airlines on 5th November at his office to discuss on this matter. It was then decided that a letter be sent to BARN requesting to postpone the implementation of weekly remittance payment by one year and make it effective from 1st January 2017. Similarly, a request is to be made to change the remittance cycle to 10 days instead of 7 days so that payment is “three times monthly.”
