NATTA officials including President Mr. Madhu Sudan Acharya participated in an interactive discussion meeting convened by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) on Thursday, June 30th 2016 at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Durbar Marg which was graced by NRB Governor Mr. Chiranjibi Nepal. The meeting was held to collect suggestions from various stakeholders from the service sector in the course of the formation of new Monetary Policy of the Central Bank. First Vice President of NATTA Mr. CN Pandey and Hony. Treasurer Mr. Chitra Bahadur Gurung also participated in this meeting.
Speaking on behalf of NATTA, President Mr. Acharya suggested NRB to consider the exchange facility upto US$ 1500 to Indian Nationals going to Mansarovar-Kailash via Nepal. Secondly, he also suggested NRB to incorporate the provision of granting special loans to the heavy investors ready to invest in setting up tourism infrastructures in the remote as well as potential destinations. The third point raised by NATTA during the discussion was that the Central Bank should act considerably towards the demand of entrepreneurs in service sector keeping in mind the economic sluggishness that followed the devastating earthquake of 25th April,’15 and the unofficial blockade.
