In a meeting of NATTA President and NATTA delegates with Managing Director Mr. S.R. Kansakar, Commercial Director CA Janak Raj Kalakheti and high level officials of NAC Domestic held on 22nd March, 2017 at NAC, NATTA upheld the points raised by NATTA Eastern, Western and Far-Western Regional Associations in their AGMs in regard to the air connectivity of NAC to Far West, West and East Nepal. NATTA President Mr. Madhu Sudan Acharya proposed that the NA flight to Pokhara be extended to Bhairahawa (Kathmandu-Pokhara-Bhairahawa-Pokhara-Kathmandu) to facilitate the cultural/religious tourists to Lumbini to visit the tourism capital, Pokhara. Similarly, the existing fare to Dhangarhi is exorbitant, President Acharya said, it needs to be reviewed in view of promoting tourism in the naturally endowed Beautiful Far-West. Domestic tourists are keen on visiting recently announced Suklaphanta National Park in Mahendranagar but because of the high air-fare they feel deprived. Moreover, the air route in the east could also be connected with Biratnagar and Bhadrapur considering the growing demand of the visitors. NAC officials have taken note of NATTA’s proposition seriously and hopefully things would get improved in the days to come.
