NATTA Central Board had its fifteenth Board meeting together for the first time with all its Province Executive Board Members of NATTA at Tiger Palace Resort, Bhairahawa on 29th September 2018.
All Executive Committee Members from NATTA Provinces; Kathmandu, Kakdvitta, Gandaki, Lumbini, Dhangadhi and Palpa Chapter were present in the meeting.
The meeting kicked off with the welcome address by NATTA Central President Mr. CN Pandey. President Pandey also stated that NATTA will soon have its institutions in the remaining Provinces and requested for mutual collaboration in all of the NATTA’s endeavours.
Executives from all provinces were under the same roof strategizing for the better formulation of the association together. The meeting discussed in the joint promotion of tourism and also reflected on concepts in making a success of visit Nepal 2020.
The discussion also had an opportunity to address on the NATTA’s upcoming endeavour Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM). NATTA 1st VP and Convenor of BITM, Mr. Achyut Sharma Guragain gave a short presentation highlighting the features of BITM. The ideas from the participants of the meeting were highly considered on making the event historic and productive to the trade.
Several inputs were given by the present members of the meeting.
The meeting was graced by Chief Guests for the meeting CEO of NTB Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi and Tourism Secretary of Province No.5, Mr. Dhananjaya Paudel.
Speaking at the meeting, NTB CEO Mr. Joshi admired for organizing such a historic and outstanding joint meeting and assured for full support from NTB in NATTA’s upcoming events. Likewise, Tourism Secretary Mr. Paudel showed full support and faith from him and concerned government bodies on the successful of Buddhism International Mart 2018.

In every 6 months, a Mid-Year Forum to be organized jointly with NATTA Central Board and Executive Board Members of NATTA Province to have an interaction and review on work procedures, any impediments and prepare upcoming policies.
Giving continuity to a Committee meeting chaired by NATTA Central 1st Vice President including President of NATTA Provinces and Chapters.
A committee in Convenership of NATTA Central Secretary General will coordinate Secretary General of NATTA Provinces and Chapters to discuss and interact on contemporary issues in tourism.
NATTA raised a voice in favor of International Airport in Nijgadh to be built as soon as possible by Nepal Government.
To meet the target of Visit Nepal 2020, NATTA appeals Nepal government to speed up the progress of Pokhara and Bhairahawa International Airport having Airlines Service Agreement (ASA) as soon as possible. NATTA requests to form a Task Force including National tourism organizations that will have the power to monitor and inspect the periodic progress reports.
NATTA request all its members to initiate digitization of facilities and services in tourism, as per the slogan of World Tourism Day 2018 “Tourism and the Digital Transformation”.
NATTA demands to provide E-VISA and E-payment system online within three months from the today to accomplish the target of Visit Nepal Year 2020.
NATTA appeal full support from Nepal Government, Tourism fraternities, private sectors, media, stakeholders and all the individuals to accomplish Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM), successfully which is going to be held from January 10-12, 2019 in Lumbini, Nepal.
Having been participated by all the Executives of all Provinces together, this meeting is considered to be momentous and significant in the chapter of NATTA.
Yet another joint meeting was held the day after at Chitwan on 30th September 2018 with Executives of Regional Hotel Association of Nepal Chitwan and NATTA Executives regarding the mutual cooperation between associations and successful accomplishment of upcoming event Buddhist International Travel Mart.
