The 7th APJC Meeting was held on 16th November at Hotel Radisson with APJC Members.
While discussion at the meeting, NATTA strongly commended on consideration of deferral date of IATA payment at least after 3 days on a special occasion especially during Dashain/Tihar. Whereas airlines had proposed only for 2 days for deferral.
Similarly, on the date of payment of IATA BSP, it has always been a major issue of very limited time for IATA members, for which NATTA requested IATA Official to request for exceeding additional hours in payment at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) and if possible to have options for transaction in other banks as well. Mr. Rodney D’ Cruz, Assistant Director of IATA responded that SCB has to report to IATA on the same day so this might be difficult for them but will put forward this issue in head office, Singapore and will also try requesting in Standard Chartered Bank for extra times.
Likewise, on IATA Annual Fee increment with categorization, as IATA members were unaware of it, IATA officials informed that they’ve sent handbook in BSP and PABCON implemented globally, they apologized in this dispute and assured that further in future will concern and apprise to association and members while implementing any major regulations.
For the issues of Weekly permanent Capping, Deportee Case and Airlines ADM Rules & Regulations awareness, a further meeting is to be conducted in BARN with NATTA and BARN Executives along with GDS very soon.
