Nepalese Embassy from India had circulated to get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to all the Nepalese nationals wishing to travel to foreign countries via India. As this had been done for the secured reasons of travel. But this led trouble to the luxury travelers for their smooth travel as they had to go through the long process to have the NOC.
Therefore, NATTA delegation with NATTA Past President Mr. Bhola Bikram Thapa, CEO of NTB Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi, President Mr. CN Pandey, Senior Vice President Mr. Achyut Sharma Guragain and Secretary General Mr. Ramesh Thapa visited to Secretary of MoCTCA, Mr. Mohan Krishna Sapkota to request on the same issue. The delegation requested Mr. Secretary to urge the concerned governments to consider on the provision of having NOC for all travelers and eliminate the provision for those who are traveling to third country from Kathmandu via India.
NATTA had previously sent a letter to MoCTCA requesting to reconsider on this regulation and have this kind of provision merely to the working visa holders.
After the appealing of NATTA, we received the letter from Embassy of India for the requirement of NOC only for 9 countries or more.
