The 55th Annual General Meeting and Election of the New Executive Committee of Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) was held on the 31st March 2022 at Hotel Radisson in Kathmandu.
At the inaugural Ceremony, Awards for several categories were distributed to the awardees. 25 Years of Award for the twenty-five years of continued affiliation with NATTA were awarded to Sunny Travel Services Pvt. Ltd., Heritage Tours & Travels Pvt. Ltd., Visit Nepal Travel & Tours Pvt. Ltd., Trips Out Pvt. Ltd., Rising Travels Pvt. Ltd.
A special award was given to IPP Mr. CN Pandey for his perseverance resulting in productiveness to NATTA. Admin Manager of NATTA Ms. Urmila Maharjan was conferred with a Letter of Appreciation for her two decade long dedicated commitment to the NATTA Secretariat. Ms. Maharjan also received a special gold coin from NATTA.
Felicitation was given to Ms. Yubika Bhandari, Joint Treasurer in recognition of her outstanding coordination in the successful completion of the Sustainable Tourism and Recovery Project (STLRP) executed by NATTA in the coordination of the Nepal Tourism Board and UNDP. Also, felicitation was given to Mr. Bharat Jung Pandey, Executive Member for the excellent coordination during the renovation of the NATTA Secretariat. Likewise, contributors to the Renovation of Secretariat were felicitated during the program along with the supporters of Hiking Program held in 2021 for the promotion of domestic tourism.
The program continued to NATTA members’ closed session in which the Annual Reports of NATTA were presented by Secretary General Mr. Sudhir Kumar Upadhyay and Treasurer Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya were approved.
After formal completion of the 55th AGM, NATTA election was conducted at the same venue. Mr. Ramesh Thapa was elected as the President of Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) along with Mr. Pramod Dahal as Senior Vice President, Mr. Varun Mehta as Vice President, Mr. Kumar Mani Thapaliya as Secretary General, Ms. Yubika Bhandari as Secretary, Mr. Raj Kumar Devkota as Treasurer and Ms. Geeta Dhakal as Joint-Treasurer. Likewise, Mr. Dendi Sherpa, Mr. Dhaknath Kafle, Ms. Sabala Bhandari, Mr. Namaraj Bhetuwal, Ms. Shraddha Joshi, Mr. Bishnu Pandey, Mr. Parshuram Ghimire and Mr. Ram Shovit Nayak were elected as Executive Members of NATTA. The newly elected Executive Committee will serve for two years from 2022 to 2024.
A Welcome Program on 4th April 2022 was organized by NATTA Secretariat Team to felicitate the newly elected members. The 1st Board Meeting was organized right after the felicitations along with the introductory session of Board Members and the Secretariat Team.
