Outgoing coordinator Mr. Ramesh Prasad Dhamala, President of Trekking Agencies´ Association of Nepal (TAAN), handed over the responsibility of JTCC to Mr. Limbu on Wednesday,19th November’14. With a view to easing vehicular movement of tourists, NATTA Delegates, Secretary General Ms. MihikaDhakhwa and Executive Member Ms. Kamla Gurung met with Deputy Inspector General of Police Mr. Keshav Adhikari, head of Traffic Police Division. After continuous follow up with the concerned authorities the government has decided to allow tourist vehicles to move in the valley without the requirement to follow the odd/even number rule. Similarly the airport pick up drop off at the airport has been eased for the tourist movement. NATTA hascirculated detail information to all members regarding the traffic management in Kathmandu valley during SAARC Summit. It has been requested to listen Traffic FM 96.6 regularly (It updates traffic news in every 15 min) in vehicle to get update about traffic movement and call at 103 or 4219641 or 4233108 to know about the traffic movement.

The MOU was made and entered betweenNATTA and Sajha Yatayat, a public Transport Cooperative for outsourcing buses for SajhaYatayat's Nepal India Bus Service. Both theparties have mutual concord to start Nepal-India bus service in the banner of Sajha Yatayat using the quality buses of tour and travelcompanies who are the members of NATTA. Last Wednesday, on 10th September, Secretary General Ms. Mihika Dhakhwa, Treasurer Mr. Narayan Gurung Koney and Prof. Hari Sarmah called on the Office of Executive Director, ForeignExchange Department, Nepal Rastra Bank Mr. Bhisma Raj Dhungana and enquired about the NRB decisions regarding the letter of grievances put up by NATTA almost a month ago. A Close Session Program on IATA BSP Remittance Cycle was organized by NATTA on Wednesday, the 02nd September, 2014 at Hotel Radisson from 1:30-5 p.m. Almost all the IATA Accredited members of NATTA attended the program. The purpose of the meeting was to decide on future BSP Remittance Cycle. Various opinions from the members were expressed on the matter. End of the program was followed by voting system to decide on the Remittance Cycle for 7 days, 10 days and 15 days simultaneously. With the votes of the members, the majority was for 15 days of Remittance Cycle. The opinions of the IATA agents on the remittance cycle from the close session will be proposed in the upcoming APJC meeting.

Thirty-member team comprising of the Executive Committee and the members of NATTA Western Regional Association, Pokhara set out for a five-day long Fam Trip to the Eastern Region of Nepal andvisited the major touristic destinations on 31st August, 2014. NATTA Pokhara has been visiting various places in Nepal in view of thedevelopment of Domestic Tourism every year since 2004.
