Hon’ble Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mr. Ananda Prasad Pokhrel graced his presence at NATTA Secretariat on 9th March 2016, Wednesday. President Mr. Madhu Sudan Acharya along with NATTA Executives welcomed Hon’ble Minister and expressed gratitude for his kind presence.
Hon’ble Minister and Executives of NATTA had an interaction with each other on the matters which are being faced by tourism industry currently.
On the interaction, President Mr. Madhu Sudan Acharya enlightened the issues on Classification of star hotels, Amendment in Tourism Act 2065, Terminal at Tribhuvan International Airport, CIP Lounge, Need of Tourist Bus Terminal, Renovation and decoration of cultural heritage sites, Monitoring of illegal operation of travel agencies, Fare Filing System (with the support of NATTA, NA, CAAN), Free Visa and Free Ticketing provision, MICE Tourism etc. President Acharya urged Hon’ble Minister to find amicable solutions on these issues for the betterment of tourism trade.
Hon’ble Minister, Mr. Pokhrel assured in diminution of raised matters and also asked for the support of tourism stakeholders in every of the government endeavors. Hon’ble Minister consoled that he along with his Ministry of Department will show his efforts for the development of tourism industry.
