The NATTA EC Delegation led by President Mr. D.B. Limbu participated in the Interactive Seminar Program held in Tansen Municipality Hall (Palpa) under the aegis of NATTA Palpa Chapter on 25th April, 2014. President Limbu and NATTA Executives were accorded warm welcome by the organizers prior to the program attended by the chiefs of almost all government and non-government sectors viz., Local Development Officer, Chief of Tansen Municipality, President of FNCCI – Palpa, Officials from different professional organizations, Hotels and Home Stay and Organic Farming, travel agents, officials from Get Up Palpa etc. Speaking as the Chief Guest President Limbu expressed his very optimistic views regarding the bright future of Palpa as a touristic destination as Palpa teams with all natural beauty, historical monuments and wonderful and pleasant weather. He hoped that with the completion of Gautam Buddha Int’l Airport in Bhairahawa Tansen will begin to go under the pressure of providing services to the ever increasing influx of visitors, domestic as well as International. He suggested the local entrepreneurs to invest on building infrastructures. Second VP NATTA Mr. CN Pandey gave a very comprehensive picture of Palpa as a destination for the Indian visitors as well as native denizens of neighboring districts of Nepal. Secretary General Ms. Mihika Dhakhwa appreciated the sincere efforts of tourism stakeholders of Palpa in raising its tourism to newer heights. NATTA Treasurer Mr. Narayan P. Gurung Koney speaking on the occasion hoped that the regional associations and NATTA chapters will intensify their coordination with the central committee for the betterment of friends in the travel and tour industry. Prof. Dr. Hari Sarmah, CEO, NATTA highlighted on the tourism assets in this Queen of Hills of Nepal and praised the incessant efforts of local NGO’s in giving a boost to economic activities through tourism. The renovation of Rani Mahal is, he said, sure to heighten the touristic image of Palpa. Representatives from various other associations, media people and organizations including the CDO, LDO, CEO of Tansen Municipality, FNCCI, Get Up Nepal also iterated their views on improving the current figures of tourism return. The five hour long seminar concluded with the special vote of thanks from President NATTA Palpa Chapter Mr. Pradeep Prasad Udaya. Members in the NATTA delegation included President Mr. D.B.
