On 6th August 2020, via Teams, a meeting was held with the presence of the GIZ and NATTA representatives regarding mutual collaboration with NATTA and GIZ as NATTA being the implementing partner of one of the GIZ project.
The meeting had the presence of Technical Advisor Mr. Deepak Adhikari, Senior Finance Manager Mr. Sebhanand Sangat, NATTA Senior Vice President Mr. Binay Basnet, Joint Treasurer Ms. Yubika Bhandari and Officiating CEO Ms. Shradha Chhetri.
A project, Local and Provincial Economic Environment (LPED) supported by GIZ is currently working on exploring the possibility of additional funds to address the negative consequence on the local economy caused by the COVID – 19 in the LPED project areas. The idea is to support the stakeholders as well as workforce on business continuity especially in the tourism sector by motivating existing as well as laid-off workforce to continue the same business by providing the capacity development opportunities and some engagement on some meaningful things
On the meeting, Senior VP Mr. Binay Basnet firstly apprised about NATTA and its activities during COVID Pandemic and certain plans for post-COVID-19. Likewise Jt. Treasurer Ms. Yubika Bhandari further gave some ideas in the maintenance of heritage trail.
The meeting focused on how both the organizations would integrate programs and exchanged the ideas that can be implemented together with GIZ as a part of their project. Both the organizations showed keen interest in the event and expressed its desire to work together which fit the scope of its work. Currently, the project has been focusing on Province No. 5, 6, 7. It was to that we can coordinate with those NATTA Provinces.
In the end, GIZ Represents finally thanked all NATTA Represents for their deliberations and hoped that both the organizations would be in a position to assist the project in their destination sooner as the Fund is approved.
As a formality to collect information of the potential partners, GIZ had sent a standard template for a legal and commercial eligibility test as an initial assessment of the potential partner organization that NATTA had sent with all the details to GIZ.
