A joint meeting was held with NATTA Executive Members and Past President Council of NATTA on Monday, 27th May 2019 at Secretariat of NATTA.
Coinciding with the meeting, NATTA Executives along with Past Presidents welcomed IMTA delegates at Secretariat, who were at Nepal for organizing International Mountain Tourism Day on 29th May. Speaking at the meeting, Executive Secretary General Mr. Fu Yingchun apprised that it chose Nepal as the destination for holding International Mountain Day, as Nepal is one of the most representative countries in the world for mountain tourism. Along with that, the arrival percentage of Chinese Visitors in Nepal is ranked second and the bilateral relation between Nepal and China is highly admired.
Former Past Presidents appreciated for this eminent event being organized in Nepal in coordination with NATTA and assured for the full support for this event.
In continuation of the Council Meeting, President Mr. CN Pandey apprised Council of Past Presidents about Amendment of NATTA Statute being legally approved by Chief District Office. In the Amended Statute, Act No. 22, it states that a Council of NATTA Former Past Presidents will be formed in providing suggestions and recommendations to the association. The members (Past President) of the Council will nominate one Member as a Convener and another as a Co Convener for the two years of tenure. Likewise CEO of NATTA will remain as Secretary of the Council of Past Presidents.
Former Past Presidents in their views expressed their delight that now Council of Past Presidents has legally been kept in the NATTA Statute and look forward to more of grateful efforts in the coming days together.
