In the past several days, after Tribhuvan International Airport had been reformed and renovated, one of the issue that had been a big concern was for the tourist vehicles. As tourist had to face the hassles during pick up and drop after TIA opened its new parking area and only Airport Taxis were placed around airport premises.
On this regard, for the management of parking for tourist vehicle, several meetings were held and letters were sent to concerned departments by NATTA.
Therefore, after the joint meeting with Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), CAAN, TIA Traffic Police and NATTA represented by 1st VP Mr. Achyut Sharma Guragain and Mr. Hemraj Bastola on 20th February 2019, it was decided to facilitate for tourist vehicle as:
At the time of pick up/drop, the vehicle will first park in the new parking area and coordinating with the parked vehicle in airport premises parking, tourist transport can park at Airport premises placing details of a passenger name and flight details in front of vehicle.
After NATTA’s several lobbying with Ministry, Tourism Department and Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), this resolution was made by TIA for the time being.
