Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) delegation led by President Mr. CN Pandey visited Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Mohan Krishna Sapkota on 28th March 2019 welcoming and congratulating for his successful tenure.
On the meeting submitting a 13-point suggestion to the newly appointed tourism secretary, NATTA stressed on strengthening NAC to attract more tourists in the country. The delegation further requested Mr. Sapkota to bring concrete plans and programmes to operate the two new Airbus A330-200 wide-body aircraft. As NAC is currently facing a loss, NATTA urged Sapkota to support NAC to overcome the challenges.
Besides, NATTA also suggested the secretary to make the exchange of US dollars easier for tourists travelling to Tibet, Mansarovar Kailash and Bhutan via land route of Nepal, operate 24 hours of operation of Tribhuvan International Airport, establish Tourism University and so on.
The delegation had the presence of NATTA 1st Vice President Mr. Achyut Sharma Guragain, Secretary General Mr. Ramesh Thapa, Secretary Mrs. Sabita Bhattarai K.C, Jt. Treasurer Mr. Surendra Bhattarai, Executive Members Mr. Ramesh Paudel, Mr. Sudarshan Nepal and Mr. Hemraj Bastola and CEO Mr. Jeev Raj Ghimire.
