NATTA delegation comprising of 1st VP Mr. Shambhu Raj Pathak, Secretary General Ms. Mihika Dhakhwa and CEO Prof. Dr. Hari Sarmah called on the office of Jt. Secretary Mr. Ranjan Krishna Aryal at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation Tuesday, the 17th June and apprised him of the cases of cancellation of company licenses of NATTA members by Tourism Industry Division and urged him to do the needful so that the concerned travel companies could regain their licenses. The meeting was later joined in by Chief of Tourism Industry Division (TID) Jt. Secretary Mr. Madhu Sudan Burlakoti. When approached by NATTA delegates he simply gave his conclusion saying that nothing can be done so radically unless the government brings in certain amendments in the existing law for which it might take quite some time. NATTA delegates emphasized that the travel companies who have been in existence for decades and are the regular revenue payers should not be victimized by not allowing to work. The license given to such companies by Company Registrar Office of GON, however, remains valid.
