On the day of 22nd September 2019, NATTA XXII Convention and Special Program 2019 was held at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza amidst the presence of national dignitaries, media personalities, diplomatic communities, national and international airlines members and members of travel trade fraternity of Nepal. The theme of the celebration was, “Enhancing Tourism Through Digitalization” with an aim to bring tourism to the special focus of the country digitally.
Inaugurated by Hon. State Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mr. Dhan Bahadur Buda, XXII Convention and Special Program were also attended by Joint Secretary of MoCTCA, Mr. Ghanashyam Upadhyay, high ranking Government Officials, dignitaries from international and national airlines, diplomatic missions, presidents of tourism associations, former presidents and office bearers of NATTA, members from tourism fraternity, media etc.
On the occasion, the website of Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM) was officially launched by our Chief Guest.
Likewise, NATTA also awarded to the trainers and supporters of Skill Development Training for their support in the 10 days long Skill Development Training Program from April 15-26th to the beginners of tourism industry who desire to learn on travel and ticketing. NATTA also felicitated the supporters of BITM on the occasion respectively.
The NATTAXXII Convention dealt with the theme through the dialogues, presentation and comments. Dr. Upendra Mahato, Founder President of Non Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) and Mr. LP Bhanu Sharma of Apex College and President of Jeevan Vigyan Kendra presented their visions of tourism in the digital and international scenario and tourism in Nepalese context moderated by NATTA IPP Mr. Madhusudan Acharya.
Dr. Mahato highlighted on the need of proper marketing strategies for the promotion of country protecting our Cultures and Philosophies and should take digitalization as an opportunity. Likewise Mr. Sharma spiritually spoke on the tourism and lifestyle that brings the consequences in daily life.
The Convention was then followed by a Special Program that was full of entertainment programs included the Dance and Singing Performances. The Lucky Draw among the participants with various prizes from international & domestic airlines, hotels and various other prizes shared among the attendees was the yet another highlight of the event.
