General Mr. Ramesh Thapa attended an Interaction Program at Chitwan on 19th April in regard to promotion of tourism events in Province No. 3, organized by Province No.3, Hetauda. The Interaction was held with tourism personalities comprising of associations and other tourism organizations to have the discussion on how Province No.3 can have promotional implements in cooperation with private sector. Also the discussion involved the study of memorandum prepared by Province No. 3 on their tourism potentials in infrastructure, Culture, agriculture and their service.
As travel trade are in the middle of the crisis, due to disturbance in the flight operations of Jet Airways especially for the sector of India. Thus, on smooth and continuous operation of flights to India, NATTA Secretary General Mr. Ramesh Thapa and Executive Member Mr. Raju Dhakal visited Nepal Airlines to request for the additional flights in Delhi sector. They also requested Nepal Airlines to soon operate their regular flights to China, Japan and other potential countries.
IPP Mr. Madhusudan Acharya had a courtesy meet with Mr. Min Thein, VP of Union of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA) on 12th April 2019 at Myanmar. The meeting basically discussed for the promotion of both countries and apprised on the upcoming VNY 2020 and BITM 2020. UMTA has currently over 1200 members throughout the country.

UFTAA Extra-ordinary Assembly (EGA) and Annual General Assembly (AGA) 2019 was convened on 25th -27th March, 2019, at Hotel Crowne Plaza Istanbul Harbiye, Istanbul, Turkey. Along with that UFTAA Board Meeting was also held where Immediate Past President of NATTA Mr. Madhusudan Acharya attended the meeting as a Board Director. International Mountain Tourism Alliance (IMTA) is initiating the first International Mountain Tourism Day on May 29, 2019 on the occasion of International Sagarmatha Day in Nepal. On this regard, to have the discussions and suggestion on making the program success, the delegations of IMTA were at Nepal and had a series of meeting with Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA), Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and NATTA. The 4th edition of the Bengal Travel Mart (BTM) was held in Siliguri from February 5 to February 7 2019. The mart was organised by the travel industry with Eastern Himalaya Travel and Tour Operators Association (EHTTOA) at the helm. Nepal showcased in FITUR which started from 23.01.2019 till 27.01.2019 at capital of Spain, Madrid.
