Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) in collaboration with Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) successfully accomplished 9th Bangladesh Travel and Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2019 along with 20 tourism stakeholder companies from Nepal. The 3 day fair organized by Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB), was held from 18th through 20th April 2019 in Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The participating Nepalese stakeholders had an effective interaction with the visitors and shared their best and attractive tourism products to pleasing them to visit Nepal. They also actively participated in B2B session with the travel trade companies from Bangladesh. Further, the delegates from Nepal participated in the Seminar on Buddhist Circuit Promotion in the region. There were other side-line events like seminars, table discussions, presentations, press conference, cultural shows and raffle draw during the fair. Nepal’s participation in BTTF also highlighted the salient features of upcoming Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign that has targeted 2 million tourists in Nepal.
A cultural troop from Cultural Corporation of Nepal performed different traditional cultural performances in the evening of the first day of the fair. A significant number of audiences enthusiastically observed the Nepalese dances. Minister Consular/Charge de affairs at the Embassy of Nepal, Bangladesh, Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, also visited Nepal pavilion on the last day of the fair.
NATTA delegation was represented by 1st Vice President Mr. Achyut Sharma Guragain, Coordinator for the Fair Mr. Hemraj Bastola and Sub Coordinator Mr. Amrit Kumar Dhakal whereas NTB officials were represented by Manager Mr. Khadga Bikram Shah, Officers Mr. Gopal Bhandari and Mr. Siddhartha Vishokarma.
