The first meeting of the Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM) 2022 Main Organizing Committee was held at Nepal Tourism Board on 10th April 2022 which was chaired by Joint Secretary of MoCTCA, Mr. Buddhi Sagar. The meeting had the presence of the Presidents of various Tourism Associations who are members of the Main organizing committee. Senior VP of NATTA, Mr. Pramod Dahal has been nominated as the Member Secretary of Buddhist International Travel Mart 2022.
A PowerPoint presentation regarding the updates and plans for BITM 2022 was presented at the Meeting. NATTA President Mr. Ramesh Thapa and IPP Mr. Achyut Guragain shed light on the BITM and said that the continual organization of BITM will be a milestone for Nepalese tourism, especially Spiritual Tourism.
Committee members from different organizations suggested certain focuses and assured support from their side in making this event successful. This event will be the first International Event in Nepal post-pandemic crisis.
Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MOCTCA), Nepal Tourism Board is organizing BITM in Nepal to promote Nepal through BUDDHIST travel mart in Lumbini, Nepal. MoCTCA is involved as Chair of the main organizing committee. Nepal Tourism Board is working as an organizing partner, whereas NATTA is working as implementing partner, together with all tourism related stakeholders. There are other travel related government, non-government, semi government and international non-governmental organizations in the main organizing committee.
