Debriefing of China Sales Mission 2017

A Debriefing meeting was held on 22nd June 2017 at Hotel Annapurna in regard to the just concluded Nepal China Sales Mission 2017. All the participants of the mission were present in the Debriefing session. After a short video presentation of the mission activities in all the four cities of China. Coordinator for Nepal China Sales Mission, Mr. Varun Mehta recalling the valuable support of NTB, Nepal Embassy (China), China Chamber of Tourism (CCT) and participants in particular thanked everyone for their invaluable cooperation all through the mission and declared the floor open for comments from the participants. Mr. Madhusudan Acharya, President of NATTA welcomed and briefed about the event. He thanked NTB, Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, CCT and all the dignitaries who had graced Nepal China Mission by their august presence. Dignitaries present in the mission's program at Chengdu were Vice Secretary General of Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, Party Secretary of Sichuan Tourism Development Commission, Deputy Director General of Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs, Sichuan Provincial People’s Government. Similarly in Guangzhou, Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs Office, Guangdong and Vice-Chairman of Tourism Administration, Guangdong Province of PR China graced the program. Likewise President Acharya thanked Consulate General of Shanghai in Hangzhou, General Secretary of China Chamber of Tourism in Beijing for their support. His thanks were also due to the Coordinator, participants, media and NATTA Secretariat for their concerted effort to make the mission successful.

Mr. Sunil Sharma, Officiating Director of NTB giving his closing remarks said that the Nepal – China Sales Mission 2017 has concluded very successfully all because of the team spirit maintained throughout by the delegates. He expressed that such missions should be carried out in China at least twice a year targeting different potential cities.

Participants expressed their satisfaction over all the arrangements and appreciated the role of the Coordinator and NATTA team. Each individual member of the mission unanimously said that the China Sales Mission – 2017 was a grand success.

Nepal China Sales Mission was held from 7th June through 17th June 2017 in four different cities of China: Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hangzhou and Beijing. Mr. Chitra B. Gurung, was the sub coordinator for the Sales Mission. Besides him, Mr. Furi Geljen Sherpa, NATTA Executive Member also participated in the mission voluntarily.
