INTERACTION WITH POLITICAL PARTIES FOR TOURISM

Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) organized an interaction program with representatives of major political parties in Kathmandu on 30th October along with Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents (NATTA) and Nepal Association of Rafting Agents (NARA). The interaction focused on the topic "Tourism Development as a Base to Sustainable Economy". Associations jointly requested the political parties to give top priority to tourism industry in their respective election manifestos and to focus on development of tourism industry in every province.

Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat of Nepali Congress, Mr. Surya Thapa of CPN-UML and Mr. Lila Mani Pokharel of CPN (Maoist Center) were present at the program. Speaking at the event, all the leaders ensured that they would spare no effort for development and promotion of tourism industry.

Mr. Sugat Ratna Kansakar, Managing Director of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), and Mr. Durga Dutta Dhakal, Executive Director of Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM) and other tourism entrepreneurs were also present in the program.

President Mr. Madhusudan Acharya presented his deliberation at the event.
