Meeting with the World Bank Nepal Country Office

Under the leadership of NATTA President Mr. Bharat Jung Pandey, a meeting was held on 14th October 2026 at the NATTA Secretariat with the World Bank’s Public Finance Review (PFR) team, led by Mr. Nayan Krishna Joshi, Country Economist, with the participation of NATTA Secretary General Mr. Raj Kumar Devkota and other NATTA Executive Board Members.

The discussion focused on public finance, revenue mobilization, tax policies, administrative reforms, compliance burdens and other taxation-related issues, particularly their impact on Nepal’s travel, trade and tourism industries. The meeting provided an opportunity to share private-sector perspectives and highlight key challenges faced by businesses in these sectors.
